Kitsilano Residents want the following...

1. A new bigger liquor store at West Broadway and Arbutus that was proposed and opposed by the other kitsilano residents association. There is strong demand for a larger liquor store that is greater that 10,000 square feet like the current on Cambie street at West 41st avenue. The current store on West Broadway is old, too small, and smelly. Not a pleasant place to shop.
2. The right to buy liquor at a grocery store like in Europe and United States of America. This is a right that every Canadian deserves and should have.The government has no right to to take this basic right away from Canadians.
3. A new large format grocery discount superstore somewhere around the West side of Vancouver.
4. More modern neighbourhood pubs not the old dirty pubs that exist around Kitsilano.
5. More restaurants that stay open past 9pm.
6. Eliminate private security patrols by Provident and Genesis. Kitsilano residents have the right to go for a walk at any time of day or night without being harassed by a security guard.

Welcome to the new Kitsilano Residents Association that is created to listen to everyone. It is created to be more open than the the old Kitsilano Residents Association. It will not have a Nimby attitude but will have a fun attitude. It will promote what is best for kitsilano and not cater to special interests of a select group of property owners.
